Baptism
“Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism, we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church, and made sharers in her mission: ‘Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.’” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1213)
To have your child baptized, please be sure you are registered with St. Paul Parish and have completed baptism preparation. Baptisms are celebrated on Sundays at 1:30 pm. To sign up for preparation, schedule your baptism, or ask questions, please get in touch with Annette Ramos, Coordinator of Sacraments, at [email protected]. Once you complete the form below, you will receive an email with further instructions.
The first step of baptismal preparation is completing an online Baptism preparation course. Please visit the Ascension Press website and purchase the $9.95 option. Once you have completed this course, please send your certificate to Annette Ramos. You will then be scheduled for the in-person meeting.
One of the most important things you can do for your child is to choose great Godparents. Below are links to forms to be completed by the Church of your chosen Godparents. If a Christian witness is standing in, please have their pastor complete the form. Once completed, send forms to Annette Ramos.
